Written instructions in this regard have been issued to all departmental heads, deputy commissioners, Punjab and Haryana High Court, district and sessions judges among others, a spokesman of Social Security and Women and Child Welfare Department said here.
He said as the High Court in March had ordered all departments to identify posts on which physically challenged employees were to be promoted.
The government also instructed the departments to strictly implement three per cent quota provision in promotions to physically challenged employee with effect from March 6, 2011, the spokesman said.
