Captain of Pune7Aces Mathias Boe Thursday asserted his side will be a strong contender to win the Premier Badminton League (PBL).
The next season of the PBL begins here Saturday.
"It will be an exciting season and I am looking forward to it.
"We have a very balanced side with youth complimenting experience and I am sure that we will be a very strong contender for the title,"Boe, a doubles specialist, was quoted as saying in a media release issued by the franchise.
Boe along with icon player and reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin were present during the unveiling of the outift's new team jersey in the presence of Bollywood star and co-owner Taapsee Pannu at Phoenix Market City in Kurla.
Marin, the icon player of Pune7Aces, said she was looking forward to her match against ace Indian shuttler P V Sindhu.
"I am excited to join Pune7Aces for PBL. India has always been a great experience and I am really happy to be back. I am looking forward to my first match against PV Sindhu," the Spanish badminton player said.
The Team: Mathais Boe (Capt.), Carolina Marin (icon), Chirag Shetty, Valdimir Ivanov, Line Kjaersfeldt, Lakshya Sen, Brice Leverdez, Harsheel Dani, Ajay Jayaram and Prajakta Sawant.
