The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not happy with the comments made by experienced all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez regarding his ouster from the World Cup but has decided to ignore the issue because of the 50-over showpiece event.
"We just don't understand what these players want. Hafeez knows very clearly what is written in his medical report yet he went and made some unwarranted comments to the media," a senior board official told PTI.
He said the medical reports on Hafeez had stated clearly that he required atleast three weeks to recover from his injury and that there was no guarantee he would remain 100 percent fit in the World Cup.

Hafeez was sent back to Pakistan after scans revealed that the player would require at least three weeks to recover from his calf injury but Hafeez on Thursday told reporters that he could have gotten fit in two weeks' time.
"From what I have learnt in Australia and Pakistan from the medical panel, I would have recovered in two weeks' time. I got injured on February 3 while our match against India is on February 15, so I would've regained my fitness. But the touring management called me and told me that they have asked for my replacement," Hafeez said.
He said he was disappointed and sad at missing the World Cup as he had prepared himself mentally and physically for the competition for the last four years.
The official said that some of the senior players apparently needed to be more sensible in making statements and in their behaviour.
"Even when Saeed Ajmal was working on his bowling action with Saqlain Mushtaq who was hired by us specifically for this purpose. At one time Saqlain came to us and asked us whether he was helping out Ajmal or it was the other way round," the official recalled.
"Saqlain was upset that instead of listening to him Ajmal was giving him bowling tips," the official said and added "We than had to have a talk with Ajmal.
