PCI lauds HP's efforts in implementation of central schemes

Himachal Pradesh has successfully implemented various centrally-sponsored schemes and performed well in sectors like agriculture, Planning Commission member Saumitra Chaudhari said today.

Taking cognisance of this, the Planning Commission of India (PCI) has been giving liberal financial assistance to the state, he said presiding over a review meeting of flagship programmes and state's annual plan 2012-13 here.

The state has achieved 86 per cent financial target till December, 2012, the PCI member said.

Under the Integrated Child Development Scheme, the state has achieved more than 100 per cent financial target, he said.

The state has performed well under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana, Rastriya Krishi Vikas Yojana and National Social Assistance Programme.
