"They on one hand level false allegations, but at the same time, without feeling ashamed, tender apology publicly for their lies which speaks volumes about their political bankruptcy," the Minister for Industries and Commerce said at a public gathering at Dowal village in Vijaypur belt of Samba district.
On many occasions some members of the PDP had levelled false allegations of corruption against NC leaders but could not substantiate these and had to apologise publicly for their misadventures, Slathia claimed.
The two opposition parties are "power hungry" and raise frivolous issues, he also alleged.
"But the people of the state are wise enough to judge as to who are their real friends and foes and see which party has shared agonies of the people through thick and thin," he said.
Terming employment as the biggest challenge confronting the Centre and state government, Slathia said the recruitment process has been fast tracked to provide government jobs to educated youth.
He also made an appeal to parents to give better education to their children so that they can counter stiff competition.
Responding to the demands of the locals, he announced to construct a link road upto Shamshan Ghat adding that possibilities will be explored to construct water harvesting tanks in the area to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers.
