PDP today condemned the killing of nearly 124 children in a school in Pakistan's Peshawar by Taliban militants, describing it as the worst form of barbarism.

"We strongly condemn the attack on an army school in Pakistan. It is the worst form of barbarism, crime against humanity," PDP President and MP Mehbooba Mufti told reporters here.

"Atrocity of this proportion should outrage the feelings of every human being," Mehbooba said.

Strongly condemning the attack, she said "my heart and thoughts go out with the parents and families of children who have lost their lives in the attack carried in Peshawar."

Mehbooba said such attacks are crime against the entire humanity and must be condemned in strongest words.

"This is the worst crime that could have been perpetrated against humanity. Such attacks are sources of shame," she said.

PDP MP Tariq Hamid Karra also condemned the incident, saying these act of barbarism should not be tolerated.

At least 124 students were killed when heavily-armed Arabic speaking Taliban suicide attackers stormed an army-run school, shooting from classroom-to-classroom and taking several hostages using them as human shield in Pakistan's volatile Peshawar city.
