"Being residents of a state blessed with natural resources, the locals have the first right on jobs in ongoing mega projects," PDP patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said.
Unfortunately, the executing agencies are not giving due importance to locals, he said at a May Day function here, organised by the labour wing of the party.
The PDP leader assured the gathering that his party would hold agitations to ensure jobs for locals in mega projects.
He reminded people about the positive moves initiated during the PDP regime for the welfare of government employees.
