Press Trust of India Srinagar
Opposition Peoples Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti today accused the ruling National Conference of developing vested interest in instability of Jammu and Kashmir.

"The NC has a vested interest in instability of the state as has been established time and again. The PDP, on the other hand, has a track record of bringing in stability.

"It is the only party qualified to do so through a progressive and well-defined agenda," Mehbooba told roadside poll meetings in Anantnag district.

Mehbooba, who is PDP candidate for Anantnag Lok Sabha seat, urged youths to come out in large numbers to exercise their franchise.

She said they have to make a choice whether they want the state to live in perpetual instability or want to give themselves a chance for growth and harnessing of their potential.

The PDP head accused the NC of pursuing an anti-youth agenda by denying the young population of Kashmir a democratic space, curbing their voices and not doing anything substantial to make their future better.
