Peoples Democratic Party leaders Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti today greeted the people on the eve of Gurupurab, birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh.
The leaders observed that Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the ninth Sikh guru was an apostle of peace, compassion and love who strived for building a society based on equality and brotherhood in their joint message of felicitations.
They said that the values underlying the teachings of the great Guru should guide one's endeavours to establish a system of justice and equality.

The PDP leaders expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would usher the state of Jammu and Kashmir towards peace, progress and prosperity.
The occasion would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and the secular traditions which have been the hallmark of the glorious heritage and composite ethos of the state for centuries past, they added.
