Ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) workers and supporters today held special prayers across Kashmir Valley for the speedy recovery of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS in New Delhi.
Prayers for the speedy recovery and good health of the chief minister were held at various mosques and shrines across the Valley by the workers and party leaders of PDP, a party leader said.
The main prayers were held at the shrines of Reshi sahib in Anantnag, Makhdoom Sahab, Dastageer Sahab and Khankah-i-Moula in Srinagar, Janbaz Wali in Baramulla and Aham Shareef in Bandipora, he said.

The prayers were also held at party headquarters here, he said.
79-year-old Sayeed, who was airlifted from Srinagar on December 24 and admitted to AIIMS, was on a 'mechanical ventilator', a drill that is followed in the ICU, the doctors said.
Doctors attending Sayeed have termed his condition to be "critical but stable" as his chest infection is believed to have spread.
