Peace Party candidate from Gonda Lok Sabha seat Masood Alam Khan and his two supporters were today arrested for allegedly violating prohibitory orders and pelting stones at a police station here, police said.

Last night, Khan reached Khargupur police station along with his 200-250 supporters to pressurise police to release two persons-- Mohammad Ibrar and Hamid Khan--arrested for creating troubles at Congress candidate Beni Prasad Verma's election meeting, they said.

Soon, the mob started pelting stones at the police station and creating ruckus, after which police used force to disperse them.

Later, Khan and two of his supporters were arrested and FIR was lodged against all 200-250 others.

Polling in Gonda is scheduled to take place on May 7.
