Peas and gram prices rose up to Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market owing to pick-up in demand from retailers amid slowdown in arrivals from producing belts.
However, other pulses settled around previous levels after moving in a tight range in limited deals.
Marketmen said pick-up in demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in peas and gram prices.
