Peas slip on muted demand

Peas prices drifted lower by Rs 200 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on subdued demand.

Traders said besides sluggish demand from retailers kept pressure on peas prices.

In the national capital, peas white and green fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 3,100-3,125 and Rs 3,300-3,400 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 9,200-10,300, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 9,400-9,500, Urad best Rs 9,500-10,000, Dhoya Rs 9,900-10,200, Moong Rs 4,900-5,400, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,400-5,800, Moong Dhoya local Rs 5,800-6,300 and best quality Rs 6,300-6,500.

Masoor small Rs 5,600-5,800, bold Rs 5,650-5,850, Dal Masoor local Rs 6,050-6,550, best quality Rs 6,150-6,650, Malka local Rs 6,900-7,200, best Rs 7,000-7,300, Moth Rs 4,600-5,000, Arhar Rs 6,000, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 8,700-10,400.
 

Gram Rs 7,200-7,400, Gram dal (local) Rs 7,600-7,800, best quality Rs 7,900-8,000, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 3,430, Rajdhani Rs 3,430, Rajma Chitra Rs 5,300-6,250, Kabuli Gram small Rs 8,600-9,000, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 3,100-3,125 and green Rs 3,300-3,400.
