Peas weaken on muted demand

Barring a fall in peas prices on easing demand from retailers, other pulses held steady at the wholesale market today.

Marketmen said fall in demand from retailers against adequate stocks position attributed the fall in peas prices.

In the national capital, peas white and green declined by Rs 50 and Rs 100 to Rs 2,900-2,925 and Rs 3,100-3,200 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 7,000-8,000, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 7,300-7,400, Urad best Rs 7,400-7,900, Dhoya Rs 7,800-8,100, Moong Rs 5,100-5,700, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 5,600-5,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 6,200-6,700 and best quality Rs 6,700-6,900.
 

Masoor small Rs 5,300-5,500, bold Rs 5,350-5,550, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,750-6,250, best quality Rs 5,850-6,350, Malka local Rs 6,300-6,500, best Rs 6,400-6,600, Moth Rs 4,200-4,500, Arhar Rs 6,000, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 7,900-9,700.

Gram Rs 10,200-10,700, Gram dal (local) Rs 11,000-11,300, best quality Rs 11,400-11,500, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 4,900, Rajdhani Rs 4,900, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,500-8,500, Kabuli Gram small Rs 10,000-10,400, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,900-2,925 and green Rs 3,100-3,200.
