Peas weakens on low demand

Barring weakness in peas due to subdued demand, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market here today.

Traders said sluggish demand against sufficient stocks mainly kept pressure on peas prices.

In the national capital, peas white and green were down by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,750-2,775 and Rs 2,725-2,850 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad Rs 7,700-8,100, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 8,500-8,700, urad best Rs 8,700-9,300, Dhoya Rs 9,100-9,400, Moong Rs 6,600-7,300, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,400-7,900, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,400-7,700 and best quality Rs 8,200-8,300.

Masoor small Rs 6,600-6,700, bold Rs 6,600-6,800, Dal Masoor local Rs 7,650-7,750, best quality Rs 7,750-7,850, Malka local Rs 7,700-8,050, best Rs 7,800-8,100, Moth Rs 5,550-5,850, Arhar Rs 7,050-7,200, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 8,450-8,650.
 

Gram Rs 4,400-5,100, Gramdal (local) Rs 4,700-4,900, best quality Rs 4,800-5,100, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,030, Rajdhani Rs 2,030, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,600-5,700, Kabuli Gram small Rs 4,200-6,400, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,300-5,700, Peas white Rs 2,750-2,775 and green Rs 2,750-2,850.
