Police today arrested a person with cannabis in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on specific information about smuggling of narcotics substance, one pedestrian, Muneer Hussain, was intercepted during checking at Bus Stand in Poonch, a police officer said.
During questioning and frisking of the individual, police recovered cannabis from his possession, following which Hussain was arrested and a case registered.
The accused person is being interrogated and more arrests are likely in this connection, he said.
The recovery was made by Inspector Jatinder Raina, SHO Police Station Poonch under the supervision of Jatinder Singh Johar, SSP Poonch.
