Actor Pedro Pascal says he feels ashamed for not being able to be more politically active due to his busy shooting schedule.

The 42-year-old former "Game of Thrones" actor, who comes from a family of liberals in Chile, admits he can no longer stand up for a cause - no holds barred, according to ShortList magazine.

"I carry around a certain amount of shame in terms of not doing more. Like I said, liberalism is in my blood. As hard work as it is to be in the arts of any kind, or to make a living from something that you feel passionate about, just posting something on social media isn't enough.

"But I don't have the guts to give up my career and dedicate everything I have to any particular cause. And yes, right now, I feel guilty about that," says Pascal.

The actor currently stars in "Narcos".
