Peenya industrialists body representatives meet officials

More than 150 CEOs, CFOs and Managing directors of various companies in Peenya Industries Association here met officials from Income Tax, Excise, Customs and Service Tax and Commercial Taxes Departments and General Managers from various public sector banks and Bombay Stock Exchange (SME) at a conclave here today.

The conclave, a first-of-its kind for the members of Peenya Industries Association, was organized by BKR International, an association of independent accounting and business advisory firms, in association with the Association.

Panel discussions on Direct and Indirect Taxation issues of the central and Karnataka budgets and on the role of financial institutions, SME, stock exchanges and banks were also held on the occasion.
 

The discussion provided an insight for entrepreneurs about the benefits of listing their company in the Bombay Stock Exchange - SME Segment and also regarding the fund raising opportunities for their projects, a release said.

D.P.Nagendra, Principal Additional Director General, The Director General of Central Excise Intelligence, Smarak, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, were among those who participated.

BKR International represents more than 160 independent accounting and business advisory firms in over 500 offices and 80 countries, the release noted.
