The Himachal Pradesh government has increased the financial assistance of World War II veterans and their widows from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 per month.
The benefit would be allowed to the war veterans above the age of 60 years, an official release here said.
This assistance will also be applicable to those who are not in receipt of any kind of pension and whose income did not exceed Rs 1,50,00 per annum from all sources.
