Pentavalent to be administered to AP kids from January: govt

Dr Kamineni Srinivas, Andhra Pradesh health minister, today said that 'pentavalent' vaccine would be administered to the children in the state from January.

He today held a meeting in this regard here.

The vaccine is a combination of preventive drugs for DPT, tetanus, hemophilus, pertusis and hepatitis-B, which will do away with the need to administer separate vaccine for each disease.
