People in Haryana can now monitor Lok Sabha polling online.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad today said a web-based application would be put to use for the first time in Lok Sabha elections which would provide information about total votes, votes polled, voters' turnout, and queue at booths on the day of voting.
"It will be convenient for people now to monitor polling process online in the state," Walgad said, adding that the web portal electharyana.Nic.In has been developed by National Informatic Centre (NIC).

Walgad also said webcasting would be done in 1,000 polling booths in Haryana, allowing people to see polling live via internet.
In Haryana, polling will be held between 7 AM and 6 PM on April 10.
