Actress Shraddha Kapoor says people these days are commitment phobic and shy away from settling down.

The actress, who is gearing up for the release of her film "Half Girlfriend", feels a concept like that does exist today.

"I definitely think the status of half girlfriend-half boyfriend actually exists. I have seen a lot of my female friends say, 'I like him but I don't want to commit fully. Let's see what happens'... Sometimes people don't even want to settle down, which is a new thing," Shraddha told reporters.

The actress says when it comes to tying the knot, one should have the independence to choose their partner.

"Whenever me and my family discuss love marriage, arranged marriage, I feel whatever makes anyone happy, be it an arranged or love marriage, it should be done. Nobody should get hurt in the bargain."

Her co-star in the film, Arjun Kapoor, says the dynamics of relationships have changed today.

"Today the journey from liking someone to getting married is not easy. There are various paths a person undertakes to decide if he or she is ready to settle down," he says.
