Attacking the ruling UPA, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj today said NDA would get absolute majority in coming Lok Sabha elections as people wanted to get rid of the "corruption- and scam-ridden" government.
UPA would not be able to cross even double digit, and BJP-led NDA would get an absolute majority, Swaraj said at a rally here, soliciting votes for party's Ambala candidate Ratan Lal Kataria.
The performance of UPA-II was full of disappointments. It had made a new record in scams and many of its senior leaders were involved in corruption. In fact, people had been wishing for a mid-term poll, she said.
Congress had lost its credibility among the common man and predicted that BJP-HJC alliance would win all the 10 seats in Haryana, she said.
Mentioning Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Goa, Swaraj said BJP-ruled states in the country were working well. However, she did not name Narendra Modi-ruled Gujarat among them.
The BJP leader, who was late to the rally by around four hours, said the helicopter which was to take her to Ambala could not take off from Delhi airport. Later, a chartered plane was arranged, but clearance formalities were unnecessarily delayed. Due to the delay, she had to cancel her rally in Kaithal, she said.
