TV actor Dayanand Shetty, known for his character 'Daya' in the crime serial 'CID', feels people imitating his on-screen acts like breaking doors is in fact recognition of his work.

"There was no conscious effort to do it and impress people. We don't know what people liked in this style," said Shetty whose character is popular for aggression while dealing with criminals.

However, Shetty has no complaints with people imitating his character Daya.

"It feels good when people like it... It is an accomplishment of the work you are known for. It is not a respectable work but people like it. I have seen kids breaking down doors because they are impressed. If someone is impressed then it shows you are successful," Shetty told PTI.

Shetty will take a sabbatical from 'CID' for pulling off stunts in stunt reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', and is quite excited about it.

"I was offered fear factor eight years back when it was in Argentina. This time I thought of taking up the show, it is a brand. It is medal on my uniform and I feel proud to be associated with it. I will get chance to do stunts," Shetty said.
