Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today said the results of polls to Maharashtra and Haryana assemblies have shown a decline in the popularity of BJP.
Responding to queries about the assembly election results, Rawat said it is a democracy and they respect the people's verdict.
Compared to the results of Lok Sabha elections five months ago, there has been a decline in the popularity of BJP in these elections, Rawat said.
The number of votes which BJP had garnered in the Lok Sabha elections, could not be amassed by them in these elections, he added.
