The Election Commission had decided to hold these camps to give people a last chance to register as voters. These camps were also meant to help people check whether their names were there or not in the electoral rolls.
Terming the exercise as successful, EC officials said people in Delhi and a few other cities were queueing up till late evening and therefore, time had to be extended to help people fill up their forms.
