More than 1 lakh people today took part in the International Yoga Day celebrations in the city with the main event held at Patel Ground here.
Yoga programmes were also organised in all 286 panchayats, 9 panchayat samitis and 8 municipal areas of the district, Collector Gorav Goyal said.
Union minister Nihal Chand Meghwal, Rajasthan minister Vasudev Devnani and Anita Bhadel, Mayor, chairman of Ajmer Development Authority and other public representatives participated in the hour-long event at Patel Ground.
In Pushkar, tourists including foreigners performed 'asanas' to commemorate the occasion.
