Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays Indian ODI skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his upcoming biopic, today took a jibe at author Shobhaa De for her comments on Indian Olympians at Rio.

De had mocked Indian athletes, saying that their aim was only to click selfies and return without any medal. Her tweet angered many who slammed and trolled the writer.

When asked about his take on the author's tweet, Sushant told reporters here, "People have a strong opinion just because they want to come across as somebody who knows everything."

The 30-year-old actor will be next seen in the biopic of Paralympian gold medalist Murlikant Petkar and the "Kai Po Che!" star hinted he would address the issue elaborately during the movie's promotion.

"It's also about the event you ar at... Next I am doing Murlikant Petkar's biopic. He is the guy who got us our first Olympic gold medal, So, that will be a different event and this one's something else..."

Sushant interacted with the media at the launch of Dhoni's biopic, which is titled, "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story".

The event was also attended by the cricketer, director Neeraj Pandey and the film's producers. Dhoni is one of the producers of the movie, which releases on September 30.

While the celebrated cricketer interacted with his fans during the launch, he and the director were missing from the press conference, leaving Sushant alone to field media questions.
