The government has in principle approved a performance related incentive scheme for bureaucrats but no time frame has been fixed for its introduction, Rajya Sabha was informed today.
"Government of India has accepted in-principle the recommendation of the Sixth Central Pay Commission for introduction of PRIS (Performance Related Incentive Scheme) in the form of pecuniary benefit over and above the regular salary, based on the targeted performance and performance parameters, out of the non-plan budgetary savings for central government employees," Minister of State for Personnel V Narayanasamy said in a written reply.
No time frame has been fixed for its introduction, he said.
