: Madras High Court today directed the authorities concerned to grant permission to a DMK worker to erect digital banners at various places for two days from tomorrow, to celebrate the birthday of party treasurer M K Stalin, which fell on March 1.
Justice T S Sivagnanam, before whom the petition filed by a dmk worker came up, seeking a direction to the District Collector and Corporation and Police Authorities to permit him erect digital banners, said they could be erected on receipt of the necessary fees with the conditions.
The judge recording the submission of the Government pleader, who said that if the petitioner remits the necessary amount, permission would be granted today itself as per the procedures stipulated under the relevant regulation.
"Recording the submissions made by the Special Government Pleader, the petitioner is directed to pay the necessary amount and secure permission and also directed to strictly abide by the conditions," the judge said.
