Persistent Systems reports net profit of Rs 77.48 crore

IT firm Persistent Systems today reported a net profit of Rs 77.48 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 74.46 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal, it said in a filing to BSE.

Total income from operations rose to Rs 592.07 crore for the reported period as compared to Rs 494.63 crore last fiscal.

"Our strategy continues to pay off. Our platform-based solutions and a robust partner ecosystem drives our strategy for enterprise digital transformation. Our acquisitions are strengthening our technology expertise, all helping fuel a record quarter for us," said Anand Deshpande, Managing Director and CEO, Persistent Systems.
 

The company also announced the appointment of Tom Kendra, based in the US, to its Board of Directors. Kendra recently retired from Dell's software group where he was Vice President and General Manager of the Systems Management business.
