One person was shot at and
injured following a brawl with a local builder in Narkeldanga this afternoon, police said.
Kamaluddin Seikh was a few yards away from his house when five youths from the locality including the builder, Takla Alam surrounded him.
They had a brawl following which the youths beat up Kamaluddin, police said adding Alam suddenly drew out a pistol and shot at Kamaluddin. The bullet went whizzed past his leg and bruised him, police said.
Residents from the adjoining area rushed to Kamaluddin's rescue and seeing them the attackers fled.
A complaint against Alam and five others has been lodged by Kamaluddin's family member and police have launched a search for them.
