Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain today said that the Peshawar tragedy has deeply hurt the country and the whole nation is united in its fight against terrorism.
Speaking on the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan - Muhammad Ali Jinnah - in Quetta, the President said that terrorists tried their best to destroy the residency of Jinnah but we can overcome such incidents in the light of guidance provided by the founder of the nation.
Hussain also congratulated the Balochistan government for restoring the residency back to its original condition after terrorists tried to raze it to the ground in an attack last year.

He said that Pakistan will be at peace once all traces of terrorism have been removed and that the country has complete faith in its armed forces.
The president also said that the Gwadar port would be active soon and will greatly benefit Balochistan.
Born in Sindh on 25 December 1876 Jinnah is credited with founding the South Asian nation-state - Pakistan.
After the creation of Pakistan, Jinnah was given the honorary title Qaid-i-Azam (Great Leader) and Baba-i-Qaum (Father of the Nation).
Today is his 139th birth anniversary.
