The 'Behind Closed Doors' hitmaker, who has son Junior, seven, and four-year-old daughter Princess, said he kept himself busy recording his new album, reported Contactmusic.
"Everyone's been asking what I did for Father's Day but, to be honest, I'd totally forgotten about it this year, probably because it wasn't my turn to have the kids. I was really busy in the studio working on my album so I had plenty of things to keep me busy," he said.
Andre, 39, recently lost his title of Celebrity Dad Of The Year after two consecutive years on top, but the singer congratulated Take That star Gary Barlow, who is the new recipient of the title.
"I'm more than happy to hand over my crown. It doesn't mean I'll stop being a good dad, though. As you know, I've won the award for the last two years in a row, [but] I'm so chuffed that Gary Barlow has won Celebrity Dad of the Year. He has done so many amazing things this year and he's got a new baby on the way so he really deserves it."
