An unidentified miscreant allegedly threw a petrol bomb at the official residence of Tikamgarh's tehsildar Rakesh Shukla last night, the police said today.

However, nobody was injured in the incident.

Later, Shukla filed a complaint with the local police and a case under Section 285 of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the unidentified miscreant.

The incident occurred when Shukla was with his family inside his residence and he heard the sound of a blast.

When he went outside near the door, he found pieces of a broken glass bottle and petrol lying on the ground.

The blast did not cause any damage to goods in the house except damaging its door.

In a statement to the police, Shukla said that he has no animosity with anyone and was unable to cite any reason behind it.
