"Nowhere has this kind of price rise has happened and in no country this situation is there. In the international level, crude oil prices are either constant or they have gone down," BJP All India Secretary Muralidhar Rao told reporters here.
In such a situation, subjecting the people for the steep price rise on petroleum "is unacceptable and illogical," he said.
Referring to the bandh called on May 31 against the steep price rise of petrol, Rao said, "We are appealing all organisations and associations and parties to cooperate and make it successful so as to make this government accept the demand."
