A petrol pump cashier was shot dead by unidentified persons in Baghrai area, a police said today.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Pratap Singh said that Ram Raj Yadav (48) was shot at by unidentified persons at the petrol pump in Bihari Bazar last night.
He said that Yadav was referred to Allahabad where he died during treatment.
An FIR has been lodged on the complaint of pump owner Lalta Prasad Gupta and a probe in to the matter is on, the officer said.
