Four persons allegedly stabbed to death a petrol pump employee and injured four others while robbing one of them of Rs 12,000 cash, police said today.

The four unidentified miscreants, who were heavily drunk, arrived at a petrol pump in Mhow Naka here on two scooters late last night.

Instead of waiting in the queue, they asked petrol pump worker Anil Rawat to re-fill fuel tanks of their two-wheelers immediately, a sub-inspector at Annapurna police station said.

When Rawat asked them to wait in the queue like others, they allegedly stabbed him with a knife, injuring him seriously. Rawat later succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital, he said.

After attacking Rawat, they stabbed another person who was getting fuel refilled in his vehicle and robbed Rs 12,000 cash and a gold ring from him. They also damaged his vehicle before fleeing from the spot, the SI said.

Later, the miscreants stabbed three other commuters on streets and fled, he said.

Police have registering a case and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits, he added.
