Petrol pump employees robbed of Rs 4 lakh

Two petrol pump employees were allegedly robbed of Rs 4 lakh at gunpoint by two unidentified bike-born assailants, while they were on their way to a bank to deposit the money, police said today.

The incident happened yesterday when the employees, Narender and Rakesh, were travelling on a motorcycle to deposit the collection at the pump in a bank when two masked bike-born men stopped them and took away the money at gunpoint here, they said.

A case has been registered against unidentified miscreants in the incident, police said.

No arrests have been made so far, they said, adding that investigation is on in the matter.
