Shares of Petronet LNG Ltd today rose by over 3 per cent after the company reported its highest ever quarterly net profit.
The stock jumped 3.21 per cent to settle at Rs 268.50 on BSE. During the day, it climbed 5.88 per cent to Rs 275.45 -- its 52-week high.
On NSE, shares of the company rose by 3 per cent to close at Rs 267.95.

In terms of equity volume, 13.35 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over one crore shares changed hands on NSE during the day.
Net profit at Rs 589 crore in July-September was 28 per cent higher than Rs 460 crore net profit in the same quarter of previous year, Petronet Managing Director and CEO Prabhat Singh told reporters.
"We have beaten all records in the second quarter, be it quantity wise, profit-before-tax or profit after tax (net profit)," he said.
