PFC launches lending scheme for infra projects

PTC India Financial Services Limited (PFS) today introduced credit enhancement scheme to step up lending to "quality" infrastructure projects.

"PTC India Financial Services Limited (PFS),...Today announced introduction of its Credit Enhancement Scheme as part of its efforts to step up lending to quality infrastructure projects in the country," it said in a release.

As part of the scheme, PFS will offer credit guarantee after detailed appraisal to eligible projects along with other financial institutions for providing partial guarantees for projects and the same shall be backed by adequate security, it added.

"Credit Enhancement Scheme will help the viable infrastructure projects within eligible category, to enhance their credit rating for their borrowing programmes.
 

"At a time, when credits worthy projects seek to optimize their cost of funds, this is expected to provide PFS with newer opportunities in infrastructure space." said Ashok Haldia, Managing Director & CEO, PFS in the statement.

The company offers an array of financial products to infrastructure companies in the energy value chain.

PFS also provides fee based services such as loan syndication and underwriting.
