Temperatures soared in many places in Rajasthan as six towns in the state recorded a maximum temperature above 40 degree Celsius with Phalodi being the hottest place at 43.5 degree Celsius.
Phalodi was followed by Barmer which recorded a temperature of 43 degree Celsius.
According to MeT department, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Sriganganagar, Churu, Ajmer and Jaipur recorded maximum temperatures of 42.5, 42, 41.9, 40.4, 39.4 and 38.8 degree Celsius respectively while other places were below 38 degree.
