Police today arrested a pharmacist and a male nurse of MDM hospital for allegedly selling government drugs to a private chemist.

The private chemist was also arrested, police said.

"Pharmacist of the MDM hospital Sanjay Singh Rathore and a male nurse Rajesh Rao sold the anti-snake venom vials to a private chemist shop outside the hospital on Sunday night," ACP Priti Kankani said.

"After getting information, we registered an FIR against the duo and also the chemist and arrested all the three," the ACP said.

Before this, the hospital administration terminated the pharmacist and the nurse and set up a 5-member board, which will submit its report in 48 hours as to how the drug meant to be made available free found its way to the private shop.
