Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar today told the State Legislative Assembly here that the first phase of proposed Greenfield airport at Mopa in North Goa would be commissioned in 2019.
"The first phase of theairport is expected to be commissioned in 2019," Parsekar told the House responding to the question tabled by Leader of Opposition, Pratapsingh Rane during the Question Hour today.
The CM said the tendering process for construction of Greenfield airport at Mopa in Pernem taluka on Public Private Participation (PPP) basis is in progress.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued to four shortlisted bidders on January 15 and the last date for submission for the financial bid is May 16, 2016.
This would be the second airport of the state as current airport at Dabolim is in Naval base.
