Philips India today entered into a new product category in its consumer lifestyle portfolio with the launch of air purifiers designed to control indoor air quality.
"As a health and wellbeing company, we aim to deliver meaningful innovations in personal health and well-being to improve people's lives. These products have been developed keeping in mind the need of developing countries," Philips India Vice Chairman and Managing Director A Krishna Kumar told PTI.
The air purifier range launched by Philips is priced between Rs 16,995 and Rs 39,995.

The company also launched innovative products in lighting and healthcare. All the products have been developed and designed in India for consumption globally.
Elaborating on the air purifier range launched by the company, Krishna Kumar said: "Air quality in India is very poor and there is a need and demand for a product like this. It is first of its kind product for Philips."
The products have developed and designed in India at Philips' innovation centre in Bangalore.
However, Krishna Kumar did not share the company's revenue expectations from the new product category.
Other products launched today are Visiq, a compact ultrasound device, a portable ECG machine and Solar Grid for lighting.
