Mentha oil up by 0.2% on pick up in demand

Restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced prices

Amid pick up in domestic demand and restricted supplies from producing regions, mentha oil prices traded higher by 0.25% to Rs 924.50 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in far-month January 2016 was up by Rs 2.30, or 0.25%, to Rs 924.50 per kg in a business turnover of 10 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in December traded higher by Rs 1.80, or 0.20%, to Rs 912 per kg in 100 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders after pick up in demand in the spot market amid restricted supplies from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh mainly attributed rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
