Adhesives and industrial chemicals maker Pidilite Industries expected to clock close to Rs 900 crore revenue this financial year from the construction chemicals division, a top company official said today.

"Under the construction chemicals division, we should do around close to Rs 900 crore this (financial) year," Pidilite Industries Group CEO, Construction Chemicals Division, Sanjay Bahadur told reporters here.

He was speaking after the formal inauguration of the first Dr Fixit Experience Centre, set up by the company -- as part of reaching out to builders, architects and contractors -- by Pidilite Industries Chairman Madhukar B Parekh.

Declining to reveal the financials of the construction chemicals division, Bahadur said the division was witnessing a 25 per cent compounded annual growth rate (CAGR).

On setting up Experience Centres, he said it would help develop the architects, builders and those involved in construction business to gain more knowledge about the industry.

"We have also developed mobile application educating them," he said, adding the company was planning to set up similar experience centres.

On exports front, Bahadur said it contributed about 10 per cent of the revenues and the company was looking at tapping "emerging" Asian and African markets.

"There are areas where we (the construction chemicals division) are doing well. In Thailand and Singapore, we are doing very well. We are looking at (expanding in) emerging Asian and African markets (to expand presence)," he said.

Pidilite Industries ships Dr Fixit range of products to over 20 countries. The products have been launched in Thailand, United Arab Emirates, through the company's subsidiaries.
