Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan is backing a new campaign to reduce the number of dogs and cats who end up in shelters.
The 60-year-old actor has teamed up with TV dog behaviourist Cesar Millan to help raise awareness of the importance of having pets neutered and spayed to stop unwanted pooches from being put down, reported Us magazine.
Brosnan has designed artwork for vehicle licence plates to raise funds for the cause, with profits from the sales going towards programs throughout the state of California.
