'Pihu' bags 2 awards at Trans-Saharan International Film Fest

Director Vinod Kapri's "Pihu" has won two awards at the 14th Trans-Saharan International Film Festival.

The film won the Grand Prize for Best Feature Film in the International Competition category and the People's Choice award for Best Film at the movie gala, which is held annually in Zagora, Morocco.

The news was shared by Kapri on his official Twitter account.

"This is something very special. Delighted to share. Two awards for 'Pihu' at prestigious 14th Trans-Saharan International film festival, Zagora, Morocco.

"Grand Prize for Best Feature Film in International Competition category and Best Film People's Choice award," tweeted Kapri.

"Pihu" had opened the feature category of Indian Panorama segment at the recently-concluded International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
 

Kapri's film is a social thriller, based on a true incident, reported in a national daily in 2014.
