A PIL seeking advertisement of safety features of the new high denomination currency notes has been moved in the Delhi High Court which today sought the Centre's response on the plea.
A bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal issued notice to the Finance Ministry and the Delhi government and sought their reply by May 29.
The court also made the Reserve Bank of India a party in the case and asked it also to file its reply to the plea before the next date of hearing.

The petitioner, Sunil Kumar Chaturvedi, has also brought to the court's attention news reports regarding seizure of fake currency of these high denominations.
